The Medlar Press published this title in November 2009. It's a work which I wrote over the period 2003-2007 and revised in 2008. The book contains what I hope is a fairly comprehensive analysis of fishing for pike with artificial lures, including plugs, spinners, jerkbaits, streamers....and luminous plastic rats. There's also a very great deal in the book about pike behaviour. (The pike is in truth the star of the book.) The work also contains an underlying narrative, which tells (but more usually, hints at) how I adjusted to living in a new country, learned to understand its land- and waterscapes, and engaged with pike fishing as a means to do both.
